Letter From the President

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As I sit to write my first letter as president of Miss-ADE, I want to first thank so many of you who remembered me during my recent surgery. I am thankful to have so many caring and thoughtful friends who helped make my recovery go by quicker with your calls and many cards.

As your new president, I want to make sure that we are meeting your expectations as an organization. It is my hope to have a medication update at each meeting, an update from our national organization as well as a quarterly program. If you would like to present at a meeting or know someone who would like to, please contact me.

As we near the holiday season, I hope that you all are able to spend time with your friends and family.

Please plan on coming to our January meeting with lots of energy and enthusiasm to help with our April conference.

Happy Holidays,

Melanie

Please send your nominations to Amy Keywood at: keyhabits@bellsouth.net
Next Miss-ADE Meeting

Date: January 18, 2008
Time: 12:00-2:00 p.m.
Where: Schimmel’s (Jackson)
Program: Resource Swap

Board Meeting: 10:00 a.m.

For our next meeting, we will have a resource swap. Instead of a "cookie swap", please bring 35 copies of a resource you find valuable and feel like others would as well. We will each briefly discuss what resource we have brought and how it has helped us. Then, we will each go home with 34 new resources! Examples: How to order free glucose tablets and where to go for a School Guide for children with diabetes.

Newsletter Information

Please email Melanie with any new information that we need to include in our next newsletter including:
  • Becoming a CDE
  • Recertification of CDE
  • Recognition of your program

  • Change of address or email
  • Any news you may want to share
New Miss-ADE Directories will be mailed out soon!

We will be making final touches on the directory at our November meeting and then new directories will be mailed out to each member, so be on the look out soon!
